Vice-Chairman

Dr. Li Yi-Ping is now the Vice-Chairman of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality.

李逸平,男，1959年12月生，博士，研究员。1982年7月毕业于华东师范大学生物学系，获学士学位。1987年和1990分别获硕士和博士学位。1992年赴比利时布鲁塞尔自由大学做博士后研究。1998年 2000年先后赴美国、德国等做高级访问学者。自1990年7月起在中国科学院上海细胞生物学研究所先后任助理研究员、副研究员、研究员；曾先后担任研究组组长、所长助理兼科研计划与财务处处长、副所长等职；2000年4月至2001年9月任中科院生物化学与细胞生物学研究所副所长，以及上海市科学技术协会副主席；先后兼任中国细胞生物学会理事兼副秘书长，《生命的化学》、《细胞生物学杂志》编委等职至今。一直从事动物生殖细胞成熟机制及早期胚胎发育分子机制的研究。

Abstract:

With the focus on the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, Shanghai is engaged in a systematic approach toward developing high tech business and industry. During last a few years, Shanghai has achieved the followings:

• Build a strong scientific research team based on 10 key universities, 30 research institutes and 50 accomplished researchers and scholars in the biotech and pharmaceutical research field.
• Good foundation of pharmaceutical industry with over 200 biotech and pharma companies that provide 10% of the national drug sales.
• Strong Support from local and central government.
• Establish a modern platform of drug discovery in Shanghai, which is consisted of one national institute and six national centers in collaboration with Southern Genomic Center, Shanghai Center of New Drug Discovery and Shanghai Transgenic Animal Research Center.
• Established a strategic position and infrastructure in the biotech and pharmaceutical scientific research and development
